We love us some Nathaniel Rateliff and his new video for "A Little Honey" does not disappoint. The video features Rateliff and the Night Sweats hanging out and performing at the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN ... it also features a group of older couples dancing to the band's music.
According to Rateliff:
"'A Little Honey' is a song all about love and desire. Everyone needs some honey and sweet loving, and in the video we wanted to embrace that kind of love in couples of all ages. A burning love doesn't have any kind of borders or age restrictions."
Check out the video:
In addition to the song's video, Rateliff also released a limited edition craft chocolate bar called "A Little Honey". According to the band's website: "This limited edition craft chocolate is a fundraising collaboration between The Marigold Project, Small Batch America, and Fruition Chocolate Works. Made with 74% dark heirloom Costa Rican cacao, organic honey, blood orange, and marigold petals. Packaged in a letterpress sleeve.
Proceeds from ‘A Little Honey’ will benefit The Marigold Project and Denver Urban Garden’s work to support Denver residents in creating sustainable, food-producing neighborhood community gardens." Order your's today HERE

When word got out that the folks at IMP (9:30 Club, Merriweather Post, The Lincoln Theatre) were going to open a new music venue, called The Anthem, in Southeast DC, we knew it was going to be an amazing space. We had no idea that they would be able to bring us so many amazing shows ... in just their first year!

Remember that band 400 Pounds of Punk? And their 1997 EP - He Once Ate A Small Child?
Probably not ... but you may have heard of the engineer who recorded the EP - Jack White.
2 years before The White Stripes released their self titled debut, Jack was working in a make shift home studio and joined the band on vocals for the cassettes 5th unlisted track.
Third Man Records' Ben Blackwell recently revealed that he had discovered the track's existence in an essay writted for Discog's Cassette Week.
Blackwell wrote: "The cassette, titled He Once Ate A Small Child, is, as far as I can tell, the rarest physical release of a Jack White performance, and prior to the mention here, the release was completely undocumented. I doubt more than a half-dozen people even knew about it.”
A pretty cool video is making the rounds on the internet this week ... Check out this footage from 2009 - when Mumford & Sons were just getting started and played on the patio of a pizza place during the South By Southwest Festival!
Here's footage from just a year later - when the band had the entire crowd singing along at the Reading Festival!

Last week we told you the internet was going crazy with rumors of a possible Nirvana reunion at Cal Jam 2018 ... and the speculations were true. Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic were joined on stage by Joan Jett and Deer Tick’s John McCauley for a six song reunion. They did three songs with Jett - "Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Breed,” and “All Apologies” and three songs with McCauley - “Serve The Servants,” “Scentless Apprentice,” and “In Bloom” ... also of note- Brody Dalle of The Distillers played bass on "All Apologies".
Cal Jam '18, the music festival organizes by Foo Fighters, goes down this weekend in San Bernardino, CA ... and this week, the band has been dropping some hints that would lead one to believe that there could be a special treat for those in attendence ...
Here's what we know:
All three surviving members of Nirvana will be at the festival - Pat Smear and Dave Grohl will perform with Foo Fighters and Krist Novoselic's band Giants in the Trees are also on the bill. Also on the bill are Deer Tick and Joan Jett ... Deer Tick's John McAuley and Jett served as two of the vocalists during the Nirvana's set at the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Here's where it gets interesting via some cryptic tweets:
First, the Foo Fighters twitter responded to the news that Joan Jett's new documentary will be screened at the festival with: "Can't wait ...What else could we have up our sleeves???” Stay tuned….”
The band later posted footage from Jett performing with the surviving Nirvana members at a 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony after party in 2014 with the caption “This is a Jam @caljamfest #CalJam18” ... The post was retweeted by the official Nirvana account as well ...
St. Vincent - aka Annie Clark - has announced she has a (sort of) new album coming out on October 12th.
In a letter (see below) that was handed out to attendees of her show on Oct. 2 (and later posted on twitter) Clark explained that the new album, MassEducation, will feature reworked versions of songs from 2017's acclaimed and often mispronounced album, MASSEDUCTION.
“We neither rehearsed nor spoke about how to approach any song, but rather, played two to three live takes, picked the best one, and trusted in the feeling of the moment ... So here it is—two dear friends playing songs together with the kind of secret understanding one can only get through endless nights in New York City. Enjoy.”
David Bowie's Sunday night closing set of the 2000 Glastonbury Festival has been regarded as one of the greatest sets in the fest's history ... and that's a pretty amazing claim considering some of the names that have played over the years.
And for those who missed the show - it will be released in its entirety on DVD, 2xCD, and 3x Vinyl on November 30th!
Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis had this to say about the set:
“I often get asked what the best set I’ve seen here at Glastonbury is, and Bowie’s 2000 performance is always one which I think of first. It was spellbinding; he had an absolutely enormous crowd transfixed. I think Bowie had a very deep relationship with Worthy Farm and he told some wonderful stories about his first time at the Festival in 1971, when he stayed at the farmhouse and performed at 6am as the sun was rising. And he just played the perfect headline set. It really was a very special and emotional show.”
Until its released on November 30, 2019, enjoy this clip of Bowie performing Heroes from the 2006 film Glastonbury that documented the festival's history from 1970-2005.
