New Music from Mumford and Sons - Guiding Light [VIDEO]

Mumford and Sons are back!  The band dropped a bombshell today, releasing the first single, Guiding Light, from their new album, Delta, due out November 16!

Speaking to the BBC's Annie Mac, Marcus Mumford said “It was a bit of a beast to try and get on record. It was hard work. We kind of tried it in loads of different ways…this one took a while. We wrote it like a year ago, but it’s taken a while to just get it to that point and now we’re happy with it.”

The band also teased a 60 date world tour ... but didn't release any more info  ... but for now- we can all enjoy Guiding Light.

Donald Glover is retiring his Childish Gambino persona

The Childish Gambino era is coming to an end.  Donald Glover has been telling audiences on his latest tour -   “If you bought a ticket to this concert, that means you bought a ticket to the last Childish Gambino tour ever”

Glover is apparently done with being Childish Gambino and will not be recording any new material and touring after his This Is America tour wraps up.   One can assume the move will leave him with more time to focus on his acting and writing career.

The tour comes to Washington DC's Capital One Arena on September 19th ...

And check out this fan footage from his show in NYC:

Dave Grohl leaves BEASTLY tip on LA bar tab

In one of the country's most iconic rock n roll clubs in the country, LA's Rainbow Room .. on one of the country's most iconic rock n roll streets - the Sunset Strip - one of the country's greatest rock n roll stars, Dave Grohl - did one of the most rock n roll things ever when paying his tab ...

Yep, after playing a surprise pop up show in the venue's parking lot to promote his Cal Jam Festival (video below) - Dave went into the bar for some drinks and ran up a $333.30 bar tab  ... so naturally, he left a 100% tip - bringing the total bill to $666

Here's some footage of  the pop up show :

The Best Fake Hurricane Florence Events

As we prepare for Hurricane Florence to make landfall, we're reminded that the internet has too much time on its hands ... check out some of these satirical (WE HOPE) events that are going around Facebook:

**Disclaimer: Do not actually go outside during a hurricane.**

In DC, you can 'Listen to Florence and the Machine in the comfort of your home while the hurricane hits!'

Meanwhile, in Richmond - 'Get your guns and your umbrellas. And your umbrella-guns, and your beer, and your beer-guns, and your tiny umbrellas to keep your beer dry, and join people from all along the East Coast in scaring away Hurricane Florence to protect our country from this foreign invader!

Note: do not actually discharge firearms into the air. You could kill someone and you cannot frighten a hurricane. I cant believe I actually have to write this.'

Also in Richmond, "Please come out to the Fan district in Richmond to help give ol’ Florence the what-for! If every Virginia resident turns on every fan in the commonwealth at once, it ought to be enough to send her back into the sea from whence she came. And I’m talking all of our fans — box fans, ceiling fans, heck go ahead and wave your hand fans at the sky on Tuesday. Every bit helps.

Free bread and milk will be provided for all attendees.

And don’t try to argue with me about the science of it. I know it’ll work. I watch the Weather Channel every day and understand theoretical physics so well that I have a theoretical MASTER’S degree in it.

Disclaimer: Do not actually go outside during a hurricane."

Goth dancing to make the hurricane go away. Please share.

Ft. Special guests The Gothsicles.

and finally:

Our country is threatened by the thot Florence. Make sure she knows we a thot-free nation. BEGONE!

Fleetwood Mac debut new lineup, Perform The Chain and Gypsy on Ellen: WATCH

Fleetwood Mac will embark on a massive 52 date North American Tour this fall (with stops in Washington DC on March 5, 2019 and Baltimore on March 29, 2019) ... without long time guitarist Lindsey Buckingham (who is going on a tour of his own  this fall and will be in Washington DC on October 19, 2018

But when you're a legendary band like Fleetwood Mac- you don't have much of a problem replacing departing members ... so Mike Campbell (of The Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House) were brought in to replace Buckingham.

Fans are excited for the new lineup, as it will allow the band to play songs from their entire catalog on this upcoming tour.  Lead singer Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone that the band was "never able to do that since 1975 because certain people in the band weren't interested in doing that" and "Now we're able to open the set with a lot; a raucous version of 'Rattlesnake Shake' or something.  I'd also like to do 'Station Man', which has always been one of my favorites.  We're definitely doing 'Oh Well'."

Damn Stevie ... don't 'hold back' ... Here's the videos of Fleetwood Mac performing The Chain and Gypsy on Ellen

Krist Novoselic's Message to Haters of the Quasi-Nirvana Reunion Without Kurt Cobain: 'We Tried to Get a Hold of Him'

So you may have heard - the remaining members of Nirvana (Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoselic) got together onstage together over the weekend during a Foo Fighters show in Seattle ... along with some help from the other Foo Fighters - the supergroup performed Molly's Lips - a song by The Vaselines that Nirvana covered  (see video of the performance below)

Well, like everything else these days - the internet wasn't ready for the guys to perform without Kurt Cobain... leaving comments like:

“Gotta love how they make it sound like all twenty members of Wu Tang Clan reunited. The bass player showed up. One guy.”

“Doesn’t that sound stupid? ‘surviving members?’ Like they got into a car accident and Kurt didn’t make it?”

and

“I love the band but saying “surviving members” implies that either they were all in an accident or that half the band is gone. 1 of 3 doesn’t make the remaining ones “survivors” xD

Well, Krist was the king of the clap back - serving all the hatters with one hilarious tweet:

"We tried to get a hold of him for this gig—as many times as we tried to contact Kurt, we couldn't get through. The phone just kept ringing & ringing. Kurt does not have email. In fact I have never emailed him in my life and I have been online since 1993"

Here's a video of the performance:
