Canines and Crosstreks - SPCA Adoptable Pet Profiles Archives for 2020-05

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Max (Pekingese) & Missy (Shih Tzu)

Phase I of Maryland's Road to Recovery has been initiated and with that - the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is now able to have animal viewings and adoptions BUT by appointment only.  So if you are interested in meeting this week's Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please reach out!

This week, we're featuring a bonded pair of pups - Max and Missy, who truly complete each other

Missy is an 11 year old Shih Tzu and is almost deaf, who helps her friend Max, an 11 year old Pekingese - who is blind

They are the epitome of a bonded pair ... helping each other deal with their maladies.  In particular- Max will lean on Missy to navigate safely on walks.

They are two sweet pups who deserve a break from shelter life.

If you are interested in adopting Max and Missy -  please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Malachi (American Pit Bull) & Simba Boy (Short Coat Chihuahua)

Our first pup, Malachi, is a true road dog ... just look at this guy!

Malachi's a 6 year old American Pitbull / Terrier mix who we think is quite debonair ...  and so does he ;)

As you can tell - Malachi loves a good road trip - as well as playing with his toys and hiding in blankets

Up next is Simba Boy - who is the total Chihuahua - he is smart, playful, talkative, and full of hugs and kisses.

Simba Boy also is good with cats and dogs - but not so much children.

If you are interested in adopting Simba Boy or Malachi  -  please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Mika (Siberian Husky) & Comet (Short Coat Chihuahua)

Despite the Governor's announcment of Phase I of Maryland's Road to Reocovery -  the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is still CLOSED to the public. But you can still submit an application to adopt one of the 600 animals ... like the hypnotically beauty  - Mika

Seriously - just look into those big beautiful blue eyes on 6 year old Mika .... You know they say that blue eyes are the accompanied by a calm and peaceful personality .. and that's pretty much Mika  .. unless she's eating - don't get in the way of a girl who's hungry :)

Oh - did we mention Mika the Siberian Husky has a beautiful singing voice?  Who knows - if you teach her to sing Elton John's Blue Eyes and take her on America's Got Talent !

Up next is Comet - a small but mighty Chihuahua - who'd love nothing more than to jump into your arms every day (Seriously - he's got some ups!)

Comet also knows some tricks of this own - so you should really consider adopting him with Mika and take them both on AGT

If you are interested in adopting Comet and/or Mika  -  please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

And will have their next Vaccine Clinic on May 16 - offering rabies,  (1 and 3 year), Canine Distemper Vaccine (DAPP), Canine Leptospirosis Vaccine, Feline Distemper Vaccine (FVRCP)
and Canine Bordetella!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Rush (Black Mouth Cur) & Maxxi (Retriever/Lab Mix)

Due to new restrictions placed by the State of Maryland, the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  is CURRENTLY CLOSED to the public.  But that doesn't mean you need to take matters into your own hands to adopt an animal !!!

Just last week - someone broke into the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and PUP -NAPPED Maxxi ... while allowing multiple other animals to get out of their kennels.  Thanks to all of YOU - Maxxi was found and is back at the the SPCA of Anne Arundel County - waiting for a PROPER adoption

More on Maxxi - our celebrity pup ... she's only one year old and a retriever / lab mix.  Maxxi's tall and leggy - like a model.  She loves playing with toys,  meeting new people, & giving higs and kisses, - but due to her size and age - her rambunctious play style - she may not be suitable for a home with young children.

Maxxi is new to Annapolis - and we hear she is really looking forward to experiencing her first summer here - full of crab feasts, swims in the bay, and exporing 'Naptown on long walks.

Our second adoptable pup of the week is Rush - a six year old Black Mouth Cur.

Rush is a big boy who also loves to go on long walks.  He's kind of a social butterfly who likes to meet everyone he comes across on these walks.  He escpcially loves hiking in the woods and doesn't mind getting his paws a little dirty

If you are interested in adopting Maxxi or Rush -  please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

The SPCA of Anne Arundel County continues to offer emergency services (including Animal Surrender, Euthanasia, and Cremation) by appointment only.

And will have their next Vaccine Clinic on May 16 - offering rabies,  (1 and 3 year), Canine Distemper Vaccine (DAPP), Canine Leptospirosis Vaccine, Feline Distemper Vaccine (FVRCP)
