Canines and Crosstreks - SPCA Adoptable Pet Profiles

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Lisa ( Mixed Breed ) & Hunter Hand (Lab )

On this week's Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pet Report sponsored Annapolis Subaru we are featuring two dogs from the  SPCA of Anne Arundel County who are both having hard time finding a home  ... because they are both blind ... so will YOU be their guide dog?

Up first - Lisa - who is a testament to how amazing the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Lisa - who as we mentioned is blind - was found as a stray in North Carolina and since their shelters were full, the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  brought  her to Annapolis and found her a foster family.

We believe Lisa is about 2 years old - she is as energetic as a puppy and LOVES human attention. She wants to play or be by your side no matter what. She doesn't let blindness slow her down, she is always up for a good lap around the yard! She is dog friendly but can sometimes be a bit overbearing, so living with a tolerant dog is possible. With her foster, she is working on leash manners, enjoying the occasional bath, and getting lots of love until she finds her forever family

Next up - we have Hunter Hank  - an Annopolitan Lab - who is also blind

Hunter Hank is an 11 years old fella who came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County because his owner needed to move into assisted living

Hunter Hank is a little thrown off by being in the shelter - after 11 years in his  home a - but he is friendly as can be with new people and is always looking to make a new friend or two. Hunter Hank needs some time to learn the lay of the land in new surroundings - but is very well adapted to his condition. Like most labs, he is VERY food motivated. He also LOOOVES his squeaky toys and will happily entertain himself. Although he is happy, Hunter Hank belongs back in a home again and not at the shelter

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Hunter Hank or Lisa  today. Animal Viewing at the Main Shelter is available daily from 12pm to 3pm. Small animals and cats can be viewed at the Paws at the Mall boutique in the Annapolis Mall!  If you are interested in meeting or adopting an animal, you can find out more about our adoption process here. We appreciate your patience, as the Adoption Process will be delayed. All Animal Meet & Greets will be by scheduled appointment only after your Application has been processed.

So sure - this report is called Canines and Crosstreks - and we highlight dogs each week - but the SPCA of Anne Arundel County has plenty of other animals  that need furever home - and if you are looking for a feline friend in 2021 - take note!  Right now - all cats who are 7 years or older can be adopted for only $21 - and they come fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Handsome ( Terrier / Pit Bull ) & Sophie (Chinese Crested )

OK. Who's New Year's Resolution was to get a new pup?  Who didn't make a New Year's resolution to get a new pup - but still wants a new pup?  We got you with two cuties from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County on this week's Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report sponsored Annapolis Subaru

Up first - Scout - a one month old  pit bull terrier  ... swoon!

Scout is an energetic, very confident little puppy. We don’t know how big he'll  get, but he already thinks he's larger than life. He currently lives in a foster home with dogs and cats. He really likes to play with new dog friends, but the interactions are supervised very closely because he's a little confident and likes to play rough with the adult, larger dogs in the home.

We're going to keep talking about Scout even though these pictures make him more adoptable than any words ...

Handsome is about as housebroken as a one month old pup can be.  He needs to go out a bit though being so young.  Speaking of being outside - he loves it! He loves running around, carring leaves and sticks and chasing the feet of humans :)  Right now he sleeps in a crate and spends his time in a play pen enclosure where he can see his dog, cat, and foster friends.  He is only a month old - so he will need to go to a home that will be able to continue his puppy training.

Next up - we have Sophie- a Chinese Crested

Sophie is a senior lady (11 years old) who found herself in need of a home when her owner passed away suddenly :(

Sophie knows how to sit, stay, and a few tricks for treats.  She  is housebroken but most importantly she is heartbroken.

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Handsome or Sophie today. Animal Viewing at the Main Shelter is available daily from 12pm to 3pm. Small animals and cats can be viewed at the Paws at the Mall boutique in the Annapolis Mall!  If you are interested in meeting or adopting an animal, you can find out more about our adoption process here. Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Hunter ( Retriever / Lab Mix ) & Zeko (Retriever / Lab Mix )

Here they are - the final pups on the Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pet Report ...

...til next year (aka next week) ... C'mon - you know we love dogs and are going to keep sharing the cuties from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County's with the Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report sponsored Annapolis Subaru   in 2021!

Up first - Hunter - a 4 year old lab / retriever mix

Hunter is an XL guy with an XL heart!

Hunter really loves his people and is an excellent pal.

He's  strong on leash and is not a big fan of other dogs, so he would be happiest as an only pet and would appreciate a fenced in yard where he can relax and play.

Next up - we have Zeko- another lab / retriever mix

Zeko is a senior gentleman (10 years old) but he's just as cute as a button with his gold coat and white markings.

Zeko is looking for an adult only household. Although he is still young at heart (he loves to carry around his toys!) He has some aches and pains in his old bones. He is ready to spend his days relaxing and soaking up the love in a forever home.

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt   Hunter or Zeko  today!

Last call for Lights on the Bay , the annual  2 mile display of holiday lights will be illuminating Sandy Point State Park through Sunday (Jan 2) ... being a drive through event makes Lights on the Bay  the perfect  way to celebrate the season while practicing proper social distancing!

Just remember - if you want to visit this  weekend - you need to purchase your tickets in advance - HERE

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Chase ( Short Coat Chihuahua ), Grumpy ( American Pit Bull ) & Garrabito Roger (Hound Dog)

A new pup is a great way to start a new year ...

...and here's a trio of dogs for the  SPCA of Anne Arundel County's Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report sponsored Annapolis Subaru   that could help kick off your 2021 on the right foot!

Up first - Chase - a 2 year old short hair Chihuahua mix

Chase was brought into the SPCA of Anne Arundel County because his previous owner was moving.  He'd love to move in with a family of sports fans because besides going on walks around the neighborhood - he loves watching First Take on ESPN.

Next up - we have Garrabito Roger - a 6 year old hound mix

Boiling this pup down to two words is helpful when learning to understand Garrabito Roger. Hunting. Dog. GB embodies pretty much every characteristic of a textbook hunting dog.  Adventurous, hard-working, and trusting --- with a couple dashes of goofiness --- is a good way to begin unpacking this sophisticated yet simple (and special) pooch.

Roger is a smart guy with an amazingly sensitive nose. Of course, this is popular amongst hunting breeds, but what makes Roger different is his work ethic --- Roger LOVES to earn his kudos! Responsive to verbal praise, Roger's spirit gently lights up when he's caught doing something right. This is an important component for Roger's future --- his need to work and earn. If not given a regular "job", Roger is likely at risk of making one up on his own, which often backfires. He is also a confident, healthy guy who, while somewhat dominant in his personality, doesn't need a lot to gain his loyalty to follow you yet needs a strong leader.

Garrabito Roger will thrive in a home who wants to genuinely "rescue" him --- take him under his wing, learn his nuances and needs, and commit to helping him unfold in the wake of a confusing context. Because of his understandable prey drive, Roger needs a home with no cats or small animals in the home. An interest in nurturing his "nose skill" is highly encouraged. A second dog is possible and will be considered case-by-case after a dog introduction. Adult only house (no apratments or condos ) with no kids.

Next up - we have Grumpy  - a 4 month old Pit Bull

Grumpy is a serious cutie  - look at that face and try not not fall in love

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt  Grumpy, Garrabito Roger and Chase today!

It's here!   Lights on the Bay , the annual  2 mile display of holiday lights will be illuminating Sandy Point State Park through January ... being a drive through event makes Lights on the Bay  the perfect  way to celebrate the season while practicing proper social distancing!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Rhubarb ( Retriever Mix ) & Reba (Short Coat Chihuahua )

Look into our eyes ... you are getting sleepy and craving canine companionship ...

... OK - so maybe Rhubarb and Reba aren't exactly hypnotists - but they are this week's featured pups on the SPCA of Anne Arundle County's Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report sponsored Annapolis Subaru

Up first - Rhubarb - a 1 year old  retriever mix ...

This cutie pie  is a new arrival at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and  an energetic lady who would do best in an active, single family home! She loves to go on walks with her humans and enjoy a nice belly rub afterwards.  But seriously - look at those eyes ... how can you resist having her in your life!

Next - we have Reba - a 10  year old short hair Chihuahua

Reba came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  recently and Reba is a sweet apple head chihuahua looking for a cozy home and a human's lap to burrow in.

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt  Rhubarb and Reba today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Bitty ( Miniature Poodle/Schnauzer ) and Brianna ( American Pit Bull )

You know .... pups make great holiday gifts ... but you know what they say - ADOPT don't SHOP  - so instead of heading to the pet store for a pup - check out the pups at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  - including the Bitty and Brianna -  this week's featured dogs on the  Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoption Report

Up first - Brianna - a 13 year old  Miniature Poodle/Schnauzer mix

This cutie is a new arrival at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

Not only is she cute - she is as sweet as can be  and would love to join your family this the holiday season.  Why now invite her into your home and share some holiday cheer with her!

Next - we have Brianna- a 2 year old American Pit Bull / Terrier  Mix

Brianna came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County after her entire family was displaced by a terrible house fire.

She is a very sweet and strong brindle pit mix. She does well with other dogs and children according to her previous owners!

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt  Bitty and Brianna today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Boss ( Short Coat Chihuahua ) and Apollo ( Cane Corso )

The great thing about pups - is there is so much variety in their breeds and personalities - there is surly the right one for everyone.  This week on the  Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoption Report, we look at two pups at  the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  who are polar opposites  - one small and mighty and the other a gentle giant.

Up first - Comet -  a seven year old  Short Coat Chihuahua

Not only is Comet quite handsome - he is small but mighty. He can clear hurdles in a single leap, and jump from the ground right into your arms. Comet is very intelligent and he loves to learn. He knows a lot of tricks and would be happy to show them off for you. In typical chihuahua fashion he bonds deeply to his person and can be protective at times. Once he gets to know you, he will be a loyal and loving best friend.

He will do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who can handle his quirks and be committed to him as he gets adjusted to a new life and new routine. Comet is not a fan of felines, so should not go to a home with cats. Comet has been in play groups while at the shelter with other smaller dogs.

Next - we have Apollo- a 2 year old Cane Corso

Apollo is a sweet young man! He knows sit but is still working on his leash manners as he's very strong! He came in with some problems with his eyes that should be resolved soon with surgery and daily meds. Apollo is a big love bug who would love to join your home!

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Comet or Apollo today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Boss ( Jack Russell ) and Zeus ( Cane Corso )

We are thankful for all the work  Annapolis Subaru and the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  do to help our furry friends - large and small - find forever homes - and it just so happens that this week - we have two pups - one large, one small, looking for forever homes on the Canines and Crosstreks Adoption Report

Up first - Boss -  a three year old Jack Ruseel

Boss  came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County when his owner was unfortunately evicted from their home. He is said to do well with kids and other dogs. We're still learning about him - but we do know he is a 100% cutie pie, so apply today to meet Boss!

Next - we have Zeus - a 2 year old Cane Corso

Zeus is a big and wiggly cuddle bug! He loves to give kisses and lean on you while you pet him.

He would do best in a home without other dogs or small children. Zeus would benefit greatly from a home with previous Corso experience that can train and guide him as a young dog

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Zeus or Boss  today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Precious & Brandy ( Bonded Miniature Pinschers ) and Bear ( Chow Chow )

h4>This week we have three pups featured on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

First, lets meet Precious and Brandy- a pair of bonded Miniature Pinschers.

Brandy and Precious are each 7 years old and vivacious girls in petite packages.  They seem to do well around other dogs but should go to a home without small children

Next - we have Bear - a 6 year old Chow Chow

Bear is a beautiful lady with lots to say! She would probably do best in a single-family home because she loves to hear herself bark! Bear is super soft and dainty and would love an owner with previous Chow Chow experience! She can be a little timid at first but warms up quickly!

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Bear or Brandy & Precious  today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Lucky ( Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Pit Bull Mix ) and Holly & Royce ( Bonded Bichon Frise )

This week we have three pups featured on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

First, lets meet Lucky - a super friendly Staffordshire Bull Terrier / American Pit Bull mix

Lucky's a 2 year old pup who is a very sweet and affectionate guy! He was surrendered to us for being TOO friendly! Imagine that! He is a big goof so he would do best in a home without small children

Next - a pair of bonded Bichon Frises named Holly and Royce

Both Holly and Royce are 10 years old and since they have been together all their lives - they would ideally be adopted together. They make a dynamic duo and get along well with other dogs and love all sorts of people! They might be older but they have so much love to give!

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Lucky or Holly and Ryce  today!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Scout ( Beagle Mix ) & Thane ( Norwegian Elkhound )

This week's pups could be contesents on The Voice after their feature on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

First, lets meet Scout - a five year old beagle mix

We love the color of Scout's coat  but dont' let it fool you - this perma-pup is all beagle!

Scout has a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and a healthy set of lungs to sing you the song of his beagle people. Scout would do best in a calm home with a big yard to explore.

Next - a younger fella who goes by the name Thane

Thane's a 1 year old  Norwegian Elkhound who's a big fluffy goofball!

Thane can be a little  loud when trying to get your attention, but that's just his charm! He would do best in a single family home (no apartments please) without small children.

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Scout or Thane today!

Wow - in just 2 weeks,  Lights on the Bay  will be back to illuminate Sandy Point State Park - not even 2020 could cancel this holiday tradition!  The 2 miles of holiday displays in runs November 20 through January 1 and is the perfect event for proper social distancing!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Dopey (Labrador/Doberman Pinscher)

Dopey is such a  handsome young man - he gets his own feature on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

What a good looking boy Dopey, the one year old Labrador/Doberman Pinscher mix

Sadly - Dopey has been bounced around a lot in his young life and is desperately craving consistency and a forever commitment

Dopey is housebroken, and is very sweet and lovable. He really enjoys being with people and he has a bit of anxiety about being left alone in new places. His new family should be prepared to help him learn and adjust. He seems to do well with other energetic, playful dogs

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Dopey today!

Holy Cow - Hard to believe it is October and we are less than 2 months from Lights on the Bay (not even 2020 could cancel this holiday tradition!  The 2 miles of holiday displays in Sandy point state park runs November 20 through January 1 and is the perfect event for proper social distancing!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Bronson ( Siberian Husky ) & Peanut ( Chihuahua )

This week we have a silly pup and a sweet senior featured on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

First - a silly six month old pup named Bronson- who's quite the quirky Siberian Husky

Bronson is a little protective of his toys and food - so a home with no small children would be his best fit.

These behaviors can be fixed with a little TLC though ... and as a bonus - Bronson loves to cuddle and is already crate trained!

Next - a sweet senior-  Peanut  -

Peanut's a 14 year old short coat Chihuahua ... He is a sweet old man who would love nothing more to have a calm home to live out his golden years

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Bronson or Peanut today!

Look into our eyes .. you are getting sleepy  ... and have the urge to adopt a pup from  Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

The first mesmerizing pup is  Zeusy -  an active and energetic 10 month old American Pitbull who's ready for adventure ... and has some of the most gorgeous peepers

Zeusy loves to be with people and go places. He is working on his leash manners and learning how to pass other dogs calmly

Zeusy's ideal home will have a big yard where he can run and play. His brindle coat is so striking, and he is a super smarty pants too. Zeusy will be a fun pup to grow with and train.

Next we have Dutchess Ripley - a 10  year old Lhasa Apso who also has some stunning eyes!

Just look at the Cream/Grey coat on Dutchess Ripley ... how regal!

Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet and adopt Dutchess Ripley or Zeusy today!

With Gov. Hogan announcing Maryland will be entering Phase 3 of Maryland StrongRoadmap to Recovery - Anne Arundel County has not - so the shelter is going to be making adjustments to their visitation policies as they are able.  So if you are interested in adopting Dutchess Ripley or Zeusy  this week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Buddy (Long Hair Chihuahua) & Athena (Shepherd Hound)

Fall is here - time for fire pits, nature hikes, and dressing your dog up in silly costumes for Halloween ... what's that? You don't have a dog - lucky for you - the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoptable Pet Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County has two pups who are ready for some Autumnal Fun!

First we have Buddy - a shy 8 year old long haired Chihuahua - who is ALL smiles!

Buddy is shy after some 'ruff' experiences at his last home.   It might take Buddy a while for him to show interest in new people but once he does, his true personality shines.

Buddy's adopters will need to take things at Buddy's pace and to have realistic expectations

But we think good things come to those who have the patience and love Buddy deserves

Next we have Athena - a 1 year old Shepherd Hound

Athena is a gorgeous gal that had to be surrendered because her owners were too elderly and weren't able to give this goddess the active lifestyle she needs. If you are looking for a companion on hikes and jogs then Athena is a dog you should consider giving a loving home.not only a sweet guy - he is also quite handsome as you can see from his modeling shoot.  Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet Athena!

With Gov. Hogan announcing Maryland will be entering Phase 3 of Maryland StrongRoadmap to Recovery - Anne Arundel County has not - so the shelter is going to be making adjustments to their visitation policies as they are able.  So if you are interested in adopting Luna or Poohthis week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Luna (Boxer) & Pooh (Yorkie)

It's National Dog Week - making our featured pups on the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption Report from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County especially adoptable!

First we have Luna - a two year old boxer who is the full package!

First off - Luna, a sweet girl who is all tail wags and wet kisses.  And she has a  beautiful brindle coat with fantastic markings.

Luna loves to be around people and walks well on a leash. She is dog friendly and treat motivated. She doesn't jump up even when she's excited... We told you she's the full package.

Next we have Pooh - a 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) who is a total sweetie pie.

Pooh is not only a sweet guy - he is also quite handsome as you can see from his modeling shoot.  Why not make an appointment with the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to meet Mr.  Pooh!

Finally ... you know the phrase 'adopt don't shop' when it comes to pets?  Well - the SPCA of Anne Arundel County's made it possible to adopt while you shop - with their brand new adoption center in the Annapolis Mall!   Paws at the Mall is the new home to adoptable cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters ... plus they have some small pups that visit (plus a merch stand and a bakery with dog and cat treats)  ... So next time you're in the mall - be sure to stop by and check it out .. and maybe even adopt a new friend!

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Bay Bay (Fox Terrier) & Max (American Bulldog)

This week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption - not only features adorable pups of all sizes from SPCA of Anne Arundel County who are eagerly looking for a furever home

First we have Bay Bay - an adorable tiny 8 month old fox terrier with a quirky attitude

Bay Bay did arrive at the shelter with a friend, Remmy - but they have a love hate relationship - like most siblings - no it isn't necessary that they are adopted as a pair - but it would be nice ...  Bay Bay does get along with other dogs - but would be best suited in a home without little children due to his terrier tendencies (aka he's a little high energy)

Next we have Max - a 7 year old American Bulldog

Max is a 'big boned' pup - tipping the scales at 90 lbs - but this strong and happy boy loves to be around people and enjoys making new friends ... so why not come meet him at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County!

With Gov. Hogan announcing Maryland will be entering Phase 3 of Maryland StrongRoadmap to Recovery - Anne Arundel County has not - so the shelter is going to be making adjustments to their visitation policies as they are able.  So if you are interested in adopting Bay Bay or Maxthis week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Finally ... you may have heard already - but The SPCA of Anne Arundel County's opened a brand new adoption center in the Annapolis Mall!   Paws at the Mall is the new home to adoptable cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters ... plus they have some small pups that visit (plus a merch stand and a bakery with dog and cat treats)  ... Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Benji (Shih Tzu/Maltese) & Roco (Terrier/American Pit Bull)

This week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption - not only features two adorable pups from SPCA of Anne Arundel County who are eagerly looking for a loving home - but also some exciting news those who love cats and shopping...

First we have Benji - a 2 year old Shih Tzu/Maltese who's comin' in hot

Benji  is a young energetic and full of life ...  but it means that a home with small children won't be the best fit for him

Next we have Roco - a 6 year old Terrier / American Pit Bull

Poor Roco- he is so sad to be at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

He may be sad now - but a good loving home would make Roco a happy boy!

With Gov. Hogan announcing Maryland will be entering Phase 3 of Maryland StrongRoadmap to Recovery - Anne Arundel County has not - so the shelter is going to be making adjustments to their visitation policies as they are able.  So if you are interested in adopting Benji or Rocothis week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

First we have Kyle Warren - a six month old American Pit Bull/Retriever/Labrador mix

Kyle Warren is a young energetic pup who has a lot to learn about life ... his ideal family will be willing to work with him on his manners and mouthiness. Kyle needs an outlet for his energy and something to keep his young mind occupied. With time, training, and consistency Kyle will grow up to be an excellent best friend.

Next we have BINGO - a one year old American Bulldog

Bingo's  Bingo is a lovable, happy boy! Bingo loves belly rubs and being close to you.

He knows "sit" and gives big wet kisses.

Hogan announcing Maryland will be entering Phase 3 of Maryland StrongRoadmap to Recovery - the shelter is going to be making adjustments to their visitation policies as they are able.  So if you are interested in adopting Kyle Warren or Bingothis week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Muñeca (Maltese) & Maybak (Cane Corso)

This week we've got pups of all sizes from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County featured in the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption report.

Up first - the petite Maltese - Muñeca  -

Muñeca - spanish for doll - is just that ... look how cute .. but unfortunately her humans recently passed away - so she ended up at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County

That said - Muñeca's perfect doll house would be a quiet and stable home where she can be the queen. Are you ready to give this doll the glamorous lifestyle she deserves ?!

Next we have another Cane Corso- one year old Maybak.

Maybak's a big, goofy boy with a joyful attitude and plenty of spunk! Maybak needs a strong, experienced owner due to his XL size. If you are looking for a loving and loyal companion to make you laugh every day, then Maybak may be just the dog for you!

Just a reminder - the shelter is able to have viewings and adoptions BUT by appointment only.  So if you are interested in adopting Maybak or Muñeca this week's Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Max (Bichon Frise), Blue Bell & Charlie (Twin Cane Corsos)

This week we're back to having a trio of pups from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County  in the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption report.  And from their profile pictures - these pups look ready to smother you with doggy kisses!

Up first - Bichon Frise - Max -

Max is a senior pup (12 years) who is full of love and loves to talk .. and has been known to raise his voice from time to time.  Maybe it is because he is French?

That said -  Max - apartment / condo living might not be the best place for him to live ... at least in your neighbor's mind :)

Aside from normal senior health car needed -  Max is full of love and wants to come teach you French (apparently he is fluent - but you have to speak dog to understand him)

Next up - a set of twin Cane Corsos - Blue Bell and Charlie.

Charlie and Blue Bell both have a gorgeous blue grey coat.

(Charlie)

Both girls weigh close to 100lbs and have so much love to share. Charlie and Blue are both very sweet and very social.  It would be great to keep these sisters together!

(Charlie)

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Kylo Jace (Wirehaired Pointing Griffon) & Bruce Kuma (Terrier / Pit Bull)

This week the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is featuring two pups who are too cute to have one name in the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption report.

Up first - Wirehaired Pointing GriffonKylo Jace -

We can't go any further in talking about Kylo Jace without acknowledging his adorable markings ... the matching brown tail and legs are too much!

But poor Kylo Jace - things haven't been easy for this guy ... so he is a little timid and skittish.   He can be fearful of strangers and would do best in a home with no children.

Hopefully Kylo's time in the SPCA of Anne Arundel County's Canine Training Program will help bring him out of his shell - but he'll still need to go home with an experienced dog owner committed to being patient with him and giving him the training he needs. Ownership experience with behavior issue dogs is also a must.

Next up - another pup with some great markings - meet Bruce Kuma - a 5  year old pit bull terrier.

Bruce Kuma's coat is mostly black - with some cool splashes of brindle color throughout his face and legs

Bruce is affectionate and loves to give passionate kisses. He is treat motivated and quite manageable on walks - although a little curious still  ...  Otherwise, he is just a big lover seeking some belly rubs and a good game of tug of war.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Emmy (American Pit Bull) & Angel (Short Coat Chihuahua)

This week the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is featuring a pair of pups who are each pretty and petite - in the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption report.

Up first - American Pit Bull - Emmy -    ...

Emmy found herself in need of a new home after her family moved to a community where she wasn't welcome.  How rude!  Pit Bulls are so often unfairly the victims of breed discrimination .

But Emmy is a sweetheart who previously lived happily with children and other dogs in the past.  Everyone who meets Emmy falls in love instantly.  Maybe it's all the kisses she gives ;)

Emmy is small in stature but has a big heart.  She has a gorgeous brindle coat and would make a great addition to your family.

Next - meet Angel - a 9 year old short haired Chihuahua -

Angel's new to the shelter and still a little timid.  But the more time she spends with the staff - the more she is opening up

Angel would do best in a home with no other pets and no kids - as she does display some of the he complex characteristics of her breed, particularly when stressed ... so her new family would preferably have past experience with Chihuahuas

Just a reminder - the shelter is able to have viewings and adoptions BUT by appointment only.  So if you are interested in adopting Emmy or Angel, this week's Canines and Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week (or one of the other 600 animals the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is housing)  - please call (410-268-4388 ) or email adoptions@aacspca.org for info.  PLEASE We ask you be patient ... operations at the shelter are moving a little slower than normal right now.

Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pets of the Week - Jax (American Pit Bull) & Bentley Girl (Long Coat Chihuahua)

This week the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is featuring one big boy and one little pup - who both would love nothing more than to join your family, in the Annapolis Subaru Canines and Crosstrek Adoption report.

Up first one year old Pit Bull - Jax -  who's looking for a home ...

Jax's found himself homeless when his family had to move. He arrived with a bad skin infection, but has healed up well and working on growing back his handsome coat.

Jax has the sweetest brown eyes and adorable white nose. He will make a great family companion.

Next - meet Bentley Girl - a 9 year old long haired Chihuahua - a lovely little lady who loves being with her humans - but also is independent and will happily keep herself busy - she loves investigating her surroundings :)

Bentley Girl's ideal human would understand that she needs mental stimulation and that she isn't one that would enjoy being a purse dog!

Bentley Girl  came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County with flea allergies and not much hair on about half of her body. It is growing back and she is looking more beautiful every day.  She is currently on renal-support prescription food and may need to stay on it for the rest of her life
