When 10 year old drumming sensation Nandi Bushell started posting videos of herself playing drums along to some of her favorite rock songs - we're pretty sure she never imagined it would lead to her having a virtual battle of the bands with one of the biggest rock stars in the world - Dave Grohl.

 

If you are unfamiliar- Bushell's talents caught our eye last year with her YouTube drumming videos.  She caught the eye of several rock stars - but her target was set on one - Mr Foo Fighter himself - Dave Grohl.  

 

Earlier this year - she challenged Dave to a drum off ... and after some persuasion from friends - Dave engaged in a digital battle that saw him write a theme song for the mighty percussionist.  

 

Nandi was floored - but wasn't ready to let him win the war - so she donned he best cape, picked up her guitar, bass and drum sticks - and penned her own song to Dave, exclaiming - 

 

“Mr Grohl. The song you wrote for me was truly, truly EPIC! You really are LEGENDARY! 

 

I wrote a song for you to say THANK YOU! I made up and played all the instrument parts myself, just like you! It’s called ‘ROCK and GROHL, The EPIC Battle’!

 

I hope you love my song, as much as I love your song for me! Whoever wins this round, it’s been an HONOUR to battle you. The Rock Gods of old are happy! Thank you Dave Grohl and [Foo Fighters].”

 

 

 

All we can say is that there better be a time post COVID when these two can share a stage together!
