Earlier, we told you about Sean Penn's star studded (and Linda Perry curated) CORE fundraiser. The event featured Beck, Jenny Lewis, Dwight Yoakam and Henning May performing with Portugal. The Man serving as the house band.
The event - a benefit for Sean Penn's Haiti relief non profit - raised over 5 million dollars and feauted several magical moments on stage - but the one that stole the show was Beck and Jenny Lewis teaming up to sing the song "Love Hurts"
The song has been covered many times - but in a tweet Lewis said the two were aiming for aiming for a hybrid of Nazareth’s very popular version and Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons’ lovely duet.
