About Last Night - Power On: Jade Bird the latest artist to tackle sexist remarks at a concert

 

Jade Bird has become the latest victim of a sexist pig's heckling at a concert (you might recall Maggie Rogers confronted a fan who requested she remove her top) 

 

At a recent concert in Brighton, Jade Bird was asked by an audience member if she was taking requests  ... to which she responded "No I'm not doing requests,"  She then announced the next song she would perform was  'What Am I Here For'

 

The jerk responded   - "To do the washing up' 

 

The singer and the crowd were not impressed - and his fellow audience members booed him as he left the show at Jade's request

 

Jade took to social media after the show, remarking:

 "It's so important we keep raising girls up, it's so important feminism isn't a marketing ploy or brand but a support structure to strengthen those who are put in these situations, which often privately are more dangerous. I was told straight after the show that countless other girls had received sexual explicit remarks at their own shows. It's disgusting."
