Over the weekend - at a concert stop in her home state of Washington - Brandi Carlile was joined onstage by Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron - her friends who happen to be the surviving members of the Seattle grunge band Soundgarden. 

 

The group performed Soundgarden’s classic “Black Hole Sun” and the band’s fan-favorite “Searching with My Good Eye Closed” .

The group aren't strangers to these two tracks - they had recorded and released on Record Store Day in 2020. 

 

“Searching” was a staple of Carlile’s set during her early days playing gigs in bars.
