Stardust - the biopic about the life of David Bowie wand his first trip to America back in 1971, is set to hit theaters and VOD on November 25.
There's just one catch - there won't be any of David Bowie's music in the film.
Duncan Jones, Bowie’s son, took to social media after the film's announcement that 'nobody has been granted music rights for ANY biopic… '
not sure if the music will make THAT much of a difference in a film that tells the story of the record executive who believes in the young Bowie and his transformation into Ziggy Stardust:
Stardust opens in theaters and VOD 25th
Directed by: Gabriel Range
Starring: Johnny Flynn, Jena Malone, Marc Maron
"David Bowie is one of the most seminal legends in music history; but who was the man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24-year-old fledgling David Bowie (Johnny Flynn) is sent to America to promote his newest record, The Man Who Sold the World. Leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie (Jena Malone), Bowie and his band embark on a makeshift coast-to-coast promotional tour with struggling Mercury Records publicist Rob Oberman (Marc Maron)."
