Tom Petty 70th birthday concert to feature Foo Fighters, Beck, Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder and more

The estate of the late Tom Petty announced a major celebration is coming to honor what would have been the legendary Heartbreaker's 70th birthday.

The virtual celebration will be streamed on TomPetty.com and feature previously unseen live footage from Petty and the Heartbreakers plus performances and appearances from a slew of musicians - including  Stevie Nicks, Beck, Spoon, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Eddie Vedder, the Foo Fighters, Gary Clarke Jr, and The Flaming Lips and many many more - including Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.

The bash comes three years after Petty's death - and keeps in the tradition of the birthday bashes fans had been holding in person in his hometown of Gainesville, Fla. and just a week after the release of the box set for his 1994 album "Wildflowers"

The show will be used to continue to  raise awareness and proceeds for the Save Our Stages campaign, helping independent concert venues that have been shuttered by COVID
