On Friday September 18, at 7:30 am, in Havre de Grace, MD, Chris Hopkinson of the Bay Paddle, will begin the first-ever attempt to stand-up paddleboard the Chesapeake Bay, all in support of oysters.
You read that right- Chris is going to SUP the 240 mile journey from Havre de Grace to Virginia Beach. But this isn't just something for his memory book - Chris has partnered with Flying Dog Brewery and the Oyster Recovery Partnership for his Bay Paddle to help raise $200,000 to plant 20 million oysters back in the Chesapeake Bay.
