Hear The Rolling Stones Long-Lost Track

The Rolling Stones have released a never before heard song “Scarlet,” ahead of the deluxe reissue of Goats Head Soup.  The new track features Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist Rick Grech (Traffic, Blind Faith, Family).

The track was recorded in October 1974, when The Rolling Stones were due to enter the recording studio - and the band in the studio before them just happened to be Led Zeppelin.

Keith Richards recalls the track “Scarlet” was an accident -

"We walked in at the end of a Zeppelin session. They were just leaving, and we were booked in next and I believe that Jimmy decided to stay ... We weren’t actually cutting it as a track- it was basically for a demo, a demonstration, you know, just to get the feel of it, but it came out well, with a line up like that, you know, we better use it.‘’
