Watch Ringo Starr's Star Studded 80th Big Birthday Show feat. Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr and more

For years,  Ringo Starr has been throwing legendary birthday party's for himself... but he, like like the rest of the world, the former Beatles drummer had to pivot and make adjustment for the celebration of this 80th year ...

"As most of you know, I’m fond of a good birthday party… but this is a bad year to host a get-together of any kind ... So I’m celebrating with my friends in a new way this year — we’re going to have to keep our distance due to the coronavirus,”

Ringo rang in the start of his ninth decade with a little help from his friends - virtually.  You can rewatch the hour long celebration below - with some highlights including jamming on “Helter Skelter” with Paul McCartney, Gary Clark Jr's blues inspired rendition of  “Come Together”, Ben Harper and Dave Grohl's Zoom duet and  Sheryl Crow's amazing one-woman-band rendition of “All You Need Is Love.”

Over 100,000 people watched the special live - which was a fundraiser for some of Ringo's favorite charities, including WaterAid, MusiCares, David Lynch’s TM Foundation and the Black Lives Matter Global Network: “the fight for justice, equality, and an end to all this racist violence.”

The most amazing thing about Ringo - is that he is still doing all of this in his 80's!  Peace and Love Ringo!
