St Vincent reveals her funk inspired remix of Beck's 'Uneventful Days' upon us [LISTEN]

Beck and St Vincent have been in each other's orbit quite frequently lately - they both performed with surviving Nirvana members Dave GrohlKrist Novoselic & Pat Smear at the Art of Elysium’s Heaven Is Rock and Roll gala ...

They have both been tabbed to take part in the star studded “Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince”

And now St Vincent - aka Annie Clark - has revealed her futuristic funk remix of the Beck track Uneventful Nights.  Beck describes his laid back spacey pop song - Uneventful Days - as an escape from the moment ... But Clark's remix ramps things up a notch.  So much so that Beck said the initial mix was too slow:

St. Vincent said in a statement:

“I guess I was listening to a lot of ’70s Herbie [Hancock] and WAR at the time and wondering how much funk was inside me, too.  I sent it to Beck and he dug it, but he said, ‘It should be 3 bpm faster.’ And what do you know? HE WAS SO RIGHT. It made all the difference in the groove.”
