Most 2 year old's birthday parties have a clown or a face painter ... Washington DC's The Anthem turned things up a notch - hosting the Let It Rock Tour with The Black Keys and Modest Mouse over for their second anniversary.
Nashville by way of Brooklyn R&B Rocker Jessy Wilson - who's first studio album Phase was produced by The Black Keys' Patrick Carney opened the show.
Next up was indie rock vets Modest Mouse who played a 12 song career spanning set including Dashboard, Lampshades on Fire, and Tiny Cities Made of Ashes.

But the 90 minute / 21 song set of rock The Black Keys brought to close the show was amazing.
Along with a backing band (including Delicate Steve on guitar and brothers Zach & Andy Gabbard of Buffalo Killers) Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney brought the rock.
