Jack White was in his hometown of Detroit for his 44th birthday - and surprised fans by playing a pop up show at the showspace for his Third Man Records.
Jack was joined by fellow Raconteur Brendan Benson (in town ahead of their show in Detroit this Friday - kicking off the band's US tour), some family (including his mother), friends - and about 375 lucky fans!
The 2 played a 45 minute, 12 song set - that included several songs from the Raconteurs' latest record Help Us Stranger, covers of Pink Floyd - Fearless, The White Stripes (!) - "As Ugly as I Seem" and "We're Going to Be Friends" (which was dedicated to a young fan named Stella).
It was noted that the show took place 20 years to the day that White and Benson first performed together!
