A Message From 2013 St. Patty's Day Ireland Trip Winners

Hi Michael & Ruby,

As St. Patrick's Day '14 approaches, my wife, Kelly, and I just wanted to let you and the entire WRNR and Best Connection Travel staff know how much we appreciate the truly amazing trip to Ireland we took last July thanks to all of you!!!

Winning the contest could not have come at a better time.  Kelly's mom was in critical condition at the Johns Hopkins Neuroscience Unit for about two months.  It was a very tough time for our family, and winning the trip on St. Patrick's Day seemed like a light in the middle of a dark tunnel.  Our entire family was so thrilled, and it meant a lot.

We were able to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in Ireland, and we would not have been able to take such an exciting vacation if we hadn't won the contest.

Both of us had always dreamed of traveling to Ireland, but the experience exceeded our expectations.  Every person we met was one of the most friendliest, humorous people we had ever encountered.  The Irish hospitality was so welcoming across the country.  Every place we traveled to was one of the most breath-taking and beautiful places we had ever seen.  The image of green, rolling landscapes is the reality throughout every county.  We were also incredibly lucky with the weather - at the time of our trip, Ireland experienced the longest, hottest heat wave they had had since 2006!  Every day was sunny and 85 degrees!  We didn't experience a single drop of rain!

We spent 3 nights in Dublin and then rented a car.  We traveled to Kilkenny, the Rock of Cashel, and then spent 2 nights in gorgeous Dingle, exploring this amazing peninsula.  We drove through the Burren to the Cliffs of Moher on our way to Galway where we spent 2 nights and visited the Aran Islands.  Afterwards we flew from Shannon to Edinburgh and spent 4 nights in Scotland.

This trip was life-changing...we are now expecting our first child!  Kelly's mom is out of the hospital and is progressing slowly but surely.

We can't thank you enough for this opportunity.  We hope the winners of the 2014 contest enjoy their Ireland experience as much as we did.  Attached are some pictures from our trip!
