Dave Z - Weekday Mornings

Dave Z's love of music began as young child as he listened to countless hours of music (and some Richard Pryor) on his father's reel to reel and 8-track. Yes...he's that old! As a Towson State University student, his passion for radio began after his first shift on 89.7 WCVT. After college, Dave made his way to the legendary WHFS 99.1 in Washington DC as a producer and weekend host. He eventually became a jack of all trades by also becoming a Production Director as well as the producer of the HFStival Echo, an annual show recapping the events of the HFStival concert series. In 2000, Dave combined his love of music and movies and created Cinemagic, the only 24/7 all movie soundtrack channel on XM Satellite Radio. As creator and Program Director of the channel, he developed a myriad of unique programming including an hour-long film-based interview show called Reel Time. Guests included composers such as Danny Elfman and Howard Shore, actors such as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Daniel Craig, Jason Statham, and film directors such as James Cameron, Guillermo del Toro, George Lucas and many more. He was also a co-host of several pop culture related channels such Star Wars Celebration Radio and Comic-Con Radio for SiriusXM Radio. After becoming a dad in 2013, Dave decided to slow down a little and started working for WRNR, one of the last locally owned stations in the area.

Dave's love for all things pop culture is part of what drives him. To say he never grew up would be an understatement as his passion for music, movies, video games are what make him who he is today. He's a firm believer that these pop culture elements are in fact forms of art that should be shared and explored by all to get a fuller enjoyment out of life.

Catch Dave Z on air M-F 7 am-12 noon.

Carrie Evans - Weekday Middays

Believe it or not Carrie Evans began her career in radio in 2004 when WRNR ran a promotion looking for locals, interested in music to join their growing team. At the time the life-long Marylander was raising two young daughters, singing in a local band and waiting tables at Killarney House. She hoped her degree in English Literature from Maryland University might eventually get some use but in the meantime the idea of working at a local radio station she admired and listened to regularly seemed like a lot of fun. She joined the eclectic and passionate crew at RNR in 2004 as a part-time, fill-in host, familiar with the local music scene. In 2008 she was hired full-time to host evenings and assist with production. In 2013 she moved to mid-days and took on the title of Assistant Production Director and in 2015 Carrie was named Assistant Program Director and Music Director at WRNR. Carrie finally left the RNR nest in 2019 when she was hired at WTMD Baltimore to host afternoon drive. She quickly worked her way up the ladder being named Assistant Program Director in 2020. She took on the role of Interim Program Director in 2021 and was officially named Program Director in 2022. Carrie was able to guide listeners and the staff through the tumultuous years of the pandemic while simultaneously growing the stations' ratings and listening audience. She is especially proud to have helped put on some of the most memorable and well attended free concerts in the station's history.

Over the years Carrie sat down with Robert Smith, Jack Johnson, Sean Lennon and Hozier but still considers her most important interview to be with Maryland's own Maggie Rogers. Carrie's affection for and pride in Maryland is what she considers her best asset for the job. Like so many people in her generation, Carrie was faced with a crossroads when it became apparent after her father's passing in 2023 that her mother needed help. Carrie decided to hang up the headphones and take on the role of a full-time caregiver.

She returns to the airwaves on the station where it all began, WRNR, to host the Mid-Day RNR Cafe from Noon-2pm!

Bob Waugh - Saturday Middays

I’ve been sitting on a treasure trove of material -- from Hozier performing at St. Anne’s Parrish, to a memorable chat I had with Billy Idol live at Ram’s Head On Stage, and so much more -- I started to think about ways to celebrate our time in Annapolis on Main Street by taking a stroll down Memory Lane…….

While I love the consulting work, I missed being on the air and conducting interviews with the artists I admire so much. WRNR’s return provides me with an opportunity to do both! Now, I just have to find my headphones and an RE-20.

Catch Bob Waugh every Saturday 10am-3pm on 93.5 WRNR!

Rich Fisher - Saturday Afternoons

Rich has been on the radio longer than he probably wants to admit—and somehow, he always ends up back at WRNR.
He’s done just about every shift here over the years and has also been heard on 98 Rock, 100.7 The Bay, and stations all across the region. From Long Island, NY to Kent Island, MD, Rich is a true Island Boy… just not in the “ya mon” kind of way.

Off the air, he’s either at a concert (seriously… a LOT of concerts), cracking jokes at a local pub, or spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

Catch Rich playing great music and having fun every Saturday from 3–6 PM on 93.5 WRNR!
