Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets - Bear [Terrier / American Pit Bull MIX]

Sometimes, ok - all of the times- the stories behind the  SPCA of Anne Arundel County's  Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets are sad - but when they involve puppy mills - they are really sad :(

This is Bear, a 3 month old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix who was rescued from an over crowded puppy mill just last week and is staying at the  SPCA of Anne Arundel County   until he can find a LOVING home to live in.

If you're looking for a dog with some SWAGGER - you need to meet Bear! He walked into the radio station like he owned the place.  I think he even signed Carrie's paycheck .. with puppy kisses :P

We don't know much about Bear - since he is so new to SPCA of Anne Arundel County ... But he loves toys that squeak, car rides and treats ...

Seriously ... look at that face ... can you imagine him welcoming at the door every time you come home!!  Imagine all the kisses! So if you are interested in meeting Bear or getting some more information on him -  reach out to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and make an appointment today!

To meet BEAR- you can call the SPCA of Anne Arundel County at 410-268-4388 or fill out an application at www.aacspca.org

Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets - Duke [Yorkshire Terrier]

Sometimes we get a visit from one of the  SPCA of Anne Arundel County's  Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets who is so cute - they almost get adopted before they get into the studio!

That's exactly what happened today when Duke, a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) showed up to the station ... one of our neighbors almost adopted him on the spot from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County!   But alas - she didn't - so this little guy is still available (for now) and waiting for you to take him to his new forever home.

DUKE's a 3 year old Yorkie who's owner's weren't able to take him with them when they moved ... seriously- what's going on with people in Anne Arundel County moving and not being able to take their pets?!?!

We don't know much about Duke - he is one of Annapolis' most recently available bachelor's - just showing up to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County the other day.  He gets along with other dogs fine ... doesn't like to pose for photos ... and loves belly rubs and squeaky toys :)

Seriously ... look at that face ... can you imagine him welcoming at the door every time you come home!!  Imagine all the kisses! So if you are interested in meeting DUKE or getting some more information on him -  reach out to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and make an appointment today!

Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets - Sanuk [Alaskan Malamute]

You know that heartbreaking  scene in Game of Thrones (stay with me here non GOTers) where Jon Snow gets rid of his Dire wolf off to live in the wild without even saying good bye?

Well, we kind of have a similar situation this week with the Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County!

Meet Sanuk - he's no Dire wolf - but he's a handsome Alaskan Malamute Mix who's at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County waiting for a new forever home.  His original had him for 5 years (they got him when he was just 8 weeks old) and had to surrender him because they are moving.

Sanuk is 5 years old and weighs 97 pounds - so he'll need a home with enough space.  He's housebroken, very gentle / non aggressive, good with other dogs (as long as they are friendly to him), but he loves cats ... a little too much - he likes to play with them and chase them all over ...

Sanuk is good with kids - he lived with a 1 and 5 year old before coming to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.  He isn't picky with the food he gets (did we mention he's a big boy?) and he LOVES treats (not that we've ever met a dog that doesn't).

Seriously ... look at that face ... can you imagine him welcoming at the door every time you come home!!  Imagine all the kisses! So if you are interested in meeting Sanuk or getting some more information on him -  reach out to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and make an appointment today!

Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets - Bean & Burrito [Chihuahuas]

It may not be Cinco de Mayo but it doesn't mean we can't celebrate all week  ... Meet Bean and Burrito - a bonded pair of Chihuahuas - who are this weeks Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County!

Bean and Burrito came to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County together - when their owners had to move out of the country - and they could not take their pups with them.  Since they are a bonded pair - the SPCA of Anne Arundel County is looking for a home that can take in both Bean (lighter)  and Burrito (darker)

Bean is an 11 month old Chihuahua loves to play with toys, run in laps, and subsequently take naps

Burrito is a 2 year old Chihuahua who is a little more reserved and watchful.  But get him some toys and treats and he turns into a real love bug

Seriously ... look at these faces ... how could you not want to have these guys in your life!! And they are a constant reminder that its always a good time for Mexican food (we don't accept any responsibility for subsequent weight gain wink)! So reach out to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and make an appointment to meet Bean & Burrito!

If you're interested in meeting Bean and Burrito and adding them to your family - call the SPCA of Anne Arundel County today at 410-268-4388 or fill out an application at www.aacspca.org

Tito's and Tails Adoptable Pets - Malibu [BISHON]

Ugh ... can we get rid of puppy mills!!! Meet Malibu - a California born Bichon who was used for breeding and then kicked to the curb when she was no longer useful :(  Good thing the folkd at the SCPA of Anne Arundel County have taken her in and are letting her stay there until you go pick her up to offer her a forever home.

Malibu is five years old and loves taking you for a walk (LOL) ... she also loves to snuggle and be carried.

Seriously ... look at  this face ... how could you not want to see this cutie pie in your home every day !!! And the SCPA of Anne Arundel County would love to see you adopt her!

If you're interested in meeting Malibu and adding her to your family - call the SPCA of Anne Arundel County today at 410-268-4388 or fill out an application at www.aacspca.org

Soooo ... you know that blind lap cat you've been looking for?  Well we found him!  His name is Phil and he's waiting for you to pick him up at the SCPA of Anne Arundel County

heart

Phil - Nine year old DSH Cat (blind)

OK ... get the tissues ready ... because Phil has kind of a sad story ... Phil is a 9 year old black domestic short hair cat who was dumped in a feral colony ... but he's definitely NOT feral.  The caretaker noticed him becuase he was walking around in circles lost and meowing.  She was able to pick him up and take him to the vet where they determined he is blind :(

Phil is now living at the SCPA of Anne Arundel County and back at full health ... the only problem is he doesn't like being in the cage and keeps hurting his nose trying to get out ... he's staying in a soft cage now  - but really needs a forever or foster home where he can chillax  ... eat some treats, sniff some catnip and sleep the days away! The cat life!

Phil loves purring, kneeding, and sprawling out while relaxing.  PLEASE contact the  SCPA of Anne Arundel County to come take Phil home

If you're interested in meeting Phil and adding him to your family - call the SPCA of Anne Arundel County today at 410-268-4388 or fill out an application at www.aacspca.org
