BEST FIVE SONGS OF 2009

Miike Snow
"Animal"
I love this song for several reasons: 1) It's awesome and quirky like the way Miike spells his name. 2) It reminds me of Sam from "True Blood." 3) The video has fake giraffe heads.

Wilco
"Wilco" (the song)

"Is someone twisting a knife in your back? Are you being attacked? ...Wilco will love you, Baby." This song is my warm blanket. Wilco loves me, baby.

WHITE RABBITS
"Percussion Gun"

I LOVE the beat! From the first drum rolls of this song, I feel my energy rise. "Percussion Gun" is the perfect title for this song.

Pearl Jam
"Just Breathe"

It's so calming and sonically luscious. This is my favorite mellow tempo song from Pearl Jam since "Black."

Lily Allen
"Straight to Hell"
Lily's cover of The Clash

Simply amazing. Lily's silky smooth vocals cooing out Clash lyrics: "You wanna play mind-crazed banjo on the druggy-drag ragtime U.S.A.? In parkland international Hah! junkiedom U.S.A. Where procaine proves the purest rock man groove and rat poison, the volatile molotov says... Go straight to hell boys." Nuff said.
