Every March, Annapolis welcomes spring with a curious ritual: A bonfire stoked by socks a ritual that means boating season is just around the corner. This year join Annapolis Maritime Museum’s 7th annual oyster roast, which is a party in itself. Admission includes unlimited raw and roasted oysters, live music, admission to the Museum’s exhibits and a chance to enter the oyster shucking competition. Barbeque, lobster rolls, beer, wine, bloody marys, dark & stormies and more will be available for purchase. A display of waterman’s workboats will be at the Museum’s waterfront campus.
The general admission ticket is $25 per person in advance, $30 at the door, and free for kids 12 and under.
The “People’s Choice” ticket, $75, will feature samples of oyster cuisine from twelve premier Annapolis restaurants; includes 2 beverage vouchers. “People’s Choice” guests vote for the best oyster dish and enjoy all the activities included with general admission ticket.
All tickets are available for purchase online at www.amaritime.org. The event is expected to sell out.
